Plain and Patterned Hats for the Family

In seven sizes and several patterns, a large variety of hats may be made using this pattern. Work in plain stockinette, or a color pattern . A blank chart is provided for designing your own pattern. Amounts of yarn necessary will vary according to size and color pattern used. Charts include a fair isle pattern, a norwegian snowflake, an allover diamond and stripes. This pattern is now available in my Ravelry Store.

A Fetching Ladies Beret

Designed to complement Cheryl Niamath’s beautiful and popular Fetching mitts, this soft beret has wide ribs and spiraling cables that echo those of the mitts. A versatile and universally flattering hat, it will carry the wearer from autumn to spring, worn either as a beret or the more modern slouch hat. A simple knit, it’s a good introduction to cables and working in the round. The hat’s distinctive shape is created when it is blocked, not as it is knit, meaning much of it is worked even, without shaping. By working one extra cable round, a larger, slouchier hat can be made. This pattern is now available in my Ravelry Store.
